College Visit

Our girls went to Le Moyne College.

November 6th, 2016 we were invited by Le Moyne College where we got a private tour of the school, lunched with the honorable Dean and esteemed lecturers, after lunch we had a auditorium filled with welcoming staff of Le Moyne, eager to share and motivate our girls.

They spoke greatly of the diversity of which they pride themselves, and motivated the NAWE group to further they studies. Our very own Fatuma Bile (NAWE leader) who is undertaking her Bachelor Degree at Le Moyne was heading this tour, showing us around her college and sharing her experience.

Seeing her lead our group was priceless as it reiterated the strides that she has made to assimilating to new environments, this is also a hope for the girls that follow her and in a way makes a dream become reality. Fatuma will be graduating in 2019, we are proud of her!

This college continues to welcome and embrace diversity.

We hope to continue on this path, visiting more colleges and opening more doors of opportunity for the girls. Education is our key drive and we welcome all invitations from schools, or any supporter to keep this initiative going.
