On the 20th of May 2017 we organized and celebrated our very first Refugee Unity Day.
“Syracuse Refugee Unity Day aims to build community between refugees in Syracuse through a day-long celebration that allows them to share and celebrate their cultural diversity.” Khadijo Abdulkadir
We pitched this idea to Salt City Dishes who saw potential and a market for this event. We thank them for their sponsorship and support. We plan to host this annually and hope to see it grow and flourish as a day of unity and diversity amongst the people of Syracuse. To many more Refugee Unity Days ahead!
